Among the many ancient traditions that the Maltese islands treasure, the ancient saltpans of Marsalform stand out, Gozo, which with their 350 years of history continue to produce salt, thanks to work handed down for generations.

The saltpans stretch for about 3 km on the coast of north-east of Gozo, and in the summer period, it is fascinating to see the harvesting of salt crystals that are scraped to then be brought to be worked and preserved in the caves dug along the ridge.
